Hunt # 54 - Day 13

This is it. I have no more patience for these so-called hunters. They don’t see what I see. Some of them feel the call for it, the bloodlust, the wish for killing. Others desire the trophy, the win, the victory. They’re weak. Even the ones I thought had my back are weak. They don’t see God’s plan like I do.

What sort of hunter tires after only a fortnight of hunting? Yes, we have seen no shifters yet, but the rarest creatures bring the most amazing prizes. And what a prize it will be! To prove to the world I was right. To show everyone how this was part of a much bigger thing. And the blessed rewards that shall rain upon me!

They don’t see any of this. What they see is that we haven’t gotten what we’ve come for yet, and they’re impatient and spoiled. They miss the comforts of a gilded life. They’re not made for this.

These so-called hunters want the victory without the fight. Without the careful thinking and the strategy. They want it easy, and God doesn’t care for easy. Which is why He sent me.

I’m going to make His holy work. Since you can’t go to the prey, bring the prey to yourself.

The satellite image shows me the road gives into a clump of houses. And no matter how self-sufficient they are, someday someone will have to leave. A simple trap and loads of patience will do. Whenever they leave, they’ll find me here.
